LAA Signature Events

The Lubbock Apartment Association hosts a full calendar of events each year that bring our members together to learn, connect, and give back to the community. From luncheons and conferences to golf tournaments and cook-offs, these gatherings create opportunities to network, share ideas, and strengthen our industry. Whether you’re looking for professional development, a way to showcase your business, or just a good time with fellow members, there’s an LAA event for you.

State of the City (~500 attendees)

Our biggest annual luncheon, bringing together leaders from the apartment industry, local businesses, and city government. The Mayor of Lubbock delivers an update on key issues shaping our community and economy. A unique chance to hear directly from city leadership while networking with industry peers.

Installation Banquet (~125 attendees)

A formal evening celebrating the incoming LAA Board of Directors and honoring those who’ve served. Members gather for dinner, awards, and fellowship as we kick off a new year of leadership and service.

Spring Golf Tournament (~150 golfers)

One of our most popular networking events. Property professionals and supplier partners team up for a day on the course filled with friendly competition, hole sponsorships, and plenty of time to connect outside the office.

Fall Golf Tournament (~120 golfers)

Our second golf outing of the year, offering another chance to mix business with fun on the greens. Teams enjoy friendly play, prizes, and valuable time with industry peers.

Sporting Clay Shoot (~50 shooters)

An outdoor networking event with a competitive edge. Teams shoot their way through a sporting clay course, followed by lunch and awards. A favorite for members who enjoy West Texas tradition and camaraderie.

Dream Big Chili Cook-off (~200 attendees)

A lively cook-off where teams bring their best chili recipes to compete for bragging rights. Members, families, and friends enjoy food, music, and fun—all supporting LAA community service efforts.

Learn @ Lunch (~30–50 attendees per session)

Casual, one-hour sessions designed to educate and connect. Industry experts lead discussions on practical topics that help members stay sharp, all while enjoying lunch with peers.

REDBOOK Seminar (~75–100 attendees)

Our annual deep-dive into the Texas Apartment Association REDBOOK. This seminar keeps owners, managers, and staff up-to-date on legal and compliance changes that affect day-to-day operations.

Education Conference (~150 attendees)

A full-day event dedicated to professional development in the rental housing industry. Features nationally recognized speakers, breakout sessions, and CE credits for industry designations.

Business Expo (~200–250 attendees)

The largest vendor showcase in our region for the multifamily industry. Supplier partners display products and services while property professionals explore solutions, make connections, and gather ideas. A high-energy, one-stop event to strengthen business relationships.
