State and National Association Membership – As members of LAA you are automatically a member of the Texas Apartment Association and National Apartment Association. These memberships provide you with many more opportunities for in class and online education, legislation, business networking opportunities and contact throughout the network of associations.
Lease Forms and Addenda—As a member of LAA, you can purchase the Texas Apartment Association lease forms. These forms are the most recognized and comprehensive lease contracts and property management forms in the state and now across the Nation. You also can buy paper forms through the LAA office or electronic forms through TAA Click n' Lease by purchasing a site license to give yourself online access to these forms. You will not find any other form to be as complete and updated every 2 years as the legislation changes.
REDBOOK—The TAA REDBOOK is available for LAA members to purchase in print or online. An indispensable legal guide, the REDBOOK contains landlord/tenant law, legal articles, sample letters, forms and much more. This is also available through TAA Click n' Lease.
Membership Directory – is available in print and online. Annually you will receive an updated print directory as well as 24/7 access to an online version that is updated on the fly. The directory includes a detailed list of all LAA members, FAQ's, relevant information as well as a buyer's guide. Your directory is the go-to resource for all things related to membership information.
Sponsorship— are available for events such as the golf tournament and annual installation banquet. These sponsorship opportunities are encouraged as means of establishing name recognition and credibility with other association members.
Business Exchange—This event is a unique opportunity for our Product/Service members to have one-on-one networking sessions with our owner member decision makers. Twice a year we hold a Business Exchange that gives our members double the opportunity to meet, make and maintain relationships.
Education Opportunities—Throughout the year, various seminars are offered to benefit managers, owners, onsite staff, maintenance personnel and Product/Service members. In addition, LAA offers NALP, CAM, CAMT, CAPS and CPO credentials, which are accredited by the National Apartment Association as well as the National Swimming Pool Foundation.
General Membership Meetings and Special Events— Every month and sometimes more than once in a month the LAA hosts meetings and special events, like luncheons, committee meetings, golf tournaments, chili cook-offs and community service opportunities. These events allow members to network and exchange information with their peers and business associates as well as, make an impact on the community .
Independent Rental Owner - (IRO/Small Owner)– Our IRO group is made up of owners that have anywhere from 1 home to 50 units. We have a designated education tract with meetings each month to address issues that are particular to the smaller owner. These group meetings allow small owners to bring questions and concerns to industry professionals and get the answers they need straight from reliable sources.
Committees—LAA has a variety of committees that directly impact and influence the direction of the Association. Volunteering to serve on a committee not only helps to promote the multi-family industry, but it allows members to get better acquainted with others in the industry and enhances business opportunities.
Notary Service—LAA offers free Notary service to all of our members.
